How to Switch Your Pets to Nutrish

How to Switch Your Pets to Nutrish

There are so many reasons to make the switch to Rachael Ray® Nutrish®. First, you can feel good you’re giving your dog or cat nutritious food with a great taste they’ll love. Plus, every time you buy a bag, you help an animal because a portion of proceeds from every sale of Nutrish® goes to help other furry friends in need through The Rachael Ray Foundation.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PET'S FOOD

Because Rachael Ray® Nutrish dog and cat food may offer different ingredients than your pet is used to, it may take up to 10 days for your dog or cat’s system to become acclimated. Slowly mix with other food over a five- to ten-day period until your dog or cat is solely eating Rachael Ray® Nutrish® pet food. Once they are only eating Nutrish®, keep in mind that feeding guidelines on the bag are just a guide. Your dog's or cat’s individual needs will vary based upon his/her size, activity level and even age. However, be sure not to overfeed because overfeeding is a common source of digestive upset. Be sure to check your dog and cat’s weight and adjust feeding levels to maintain a healthy weight. And don't forget to see your vet regularly.

WHEN DO I START TO SWITCH?

You can start the switch as soon as you find a nutritious Rachael Ray® Nutrish® dog or cat food you know they’ll love.

THINGS TO LOOK FOR

While you are making the switch to Rachael Ray® Nutrish®, be sure to monitor your dog or cat closely during the transition period. If your dog or cat displays any concerning signs such as changes in appetite, vomiting or diarrhea, you should proceed more slowly. If you have transitioned slowly and your dog or cat is still exhibiting symptoms, please consult your veterinarian.
