Product FAQS

Common Questions

Why did you reformulate Rachael Ray® Nutrish® Real Chicken & Veggies Recipe?

We’ve reformulated our Real Chicken & Veggies Recipe to include Nutrish® Whole Health Blend to support your dog’s active mind, healthy body, and balanced energy.

Why do you use chicken meal in Rachael Ray® Nutrish® Real Chicken & Veggies? I thought “meal” was bad for a dog.

Rachael Ray® Nutrish® uses chicken meal because it’s a super-concentrated animal protein, and not the same as poultry-by-product meal which can contain undesirable parts of the animal like intestines and feet. None of our Rachael Ray® Nutrish® Recipes contain poultry by-product meal.

How should I transition my dog to Rachael Ray® Nutrish® food?

It's easy to transition your dog to Rachael Ray® Nutrish® food. Slowly mix Nutrish® food with their other food over a five to ten day period until your dog is solely eating Rachael Ray® Nutrish® food. Once your dog is only eating Nutrish® food, keep in mind that feeding guidelines on the bag are just a guide. Your dog's individual needs will vary based upon his/her size, activity level and even age. However be sure not to overfeed your dog because overfeeding is a common source of digestive upset. Be sure to check your dog's weight and adjust feeding levels to maintain a healthy weight. And, don't forget to see your vet regularly.
