Video Chat Cat

Jason had to go out of town for a week so I agreed to cat sit his foster kitty, Kirby. He takes care of my cats all the time, and I was happy to return the favor. The trouble started the moment Jason walked out the door. Kirby parked himself in front of it and cried and cried, then slunk under the bed and only came out when hungry. I missed Jason too, but Kirby had it bad!

That evening, Jason video chatted me. Kirby heard his voice and charged into the room — the most energy he displayed all day. He pawed and rubbed the computer screen and meowed. Seeing Jason gave Kirby a badly needed lift. It seemed to assure him that Jason wasn't gone forever. A few days later, Jason called again — not to see how I was doing, but to talk to the cat!
