Shake those Mites!

If cats are shaking their heads or scratching their ears excessively, it's a good bet they have ear mites. These critters are responsible for more than 50 percent of all feline ear infections. Other signs include: a black or brown waxy secretion, a strong odor, inflammation of the ear or scratches or scabs near the ear. If you notice any of these, take your cat to the vet right away for treatment.
